The Solitary Tripper

"If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities"
-Maya Angelou

Definitely so when you have found the most companionable companions in a Sansa E250 mp3 player and a Sony DSC - S40 camera...and panoramic views like these outside...your all time favourite music ringing in your ears...almost perfect!

(An ICE at Munich Station)

(On way to Innsbruck from Salzburg)

(On way to wondrous Kristallwelten...)

Spiritual joy in the Music...Marvel in the Green...Awe in the Blue...Bliss...Solitary bliss...and Wordworth's words from The Solitary Reaper :

...
The music in my heart I bore,
Long after it was heard no more.

In Love...

Well,if the title suggested some "masala" here I am sorry but nothing melodramatic or of a soap opera quality but nonetheless one of the most amazing experiences ever, to get back to the blog almost a year later!

So I shall reveal the name of the love here and it is none other than the cliched 'most romantic city in the world' -Paris!

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a movable feast.” ~ Ernest Hemingway

(Nonetheless I stayed only for a day but I am sure it will stay with me always ;) )

I fell for it...So here is cheers to the magnificent building of the Musee d'Orsay, the marvel of architecture at Notre Dame de Paris, the sheer size of the Louvre - the world's most visited art museum ( not to forget the 5 hours taken just to find THE "Monalisa" and the sortie back),the queues at THE Eiffel, the night view from top of Eiffel rightly justifying its most famous nickname "The City of Light" (La Ville-lumière) , the wonderful architecture at Arc de Triomphe, the view from Champs-Élysées, the 14 metro lines, the Indian Restaurant at Ecole Militaire metro station, the walk along the river Seine and in the Luxembourg Garden...the fond memories...the sense of resentment as to how a single city can seem to have all the world's best architecture?....but only the feeling of awe, thrill and amazement remains and hundreds of photos and a blog entry :)
